They are very nice and professional. They got a great playlist. Malda was so awesome, she showed me how to treat my hair.

I asked for a blowout, and the owner took out a detangling brush to brush my hair with a blow dryer and charged me 85$ ( i could have done it a home for 20 mins max). When I usually ask for a blow out, the hairdresser uses multiple blow drying brushes( sizes large, small and medium) to get to my roots my edges. I have a kinky hair and white hairdressers did a much better job than she did. She sent me home crying. The hairdresser also didn't not seem like she wants to work. I asked for a trim but she didn't think I needed it. But she really just didn't want to do it.the quality of work is very low and the payements are to the roof. I do not recommend. Please find someone who is honnest and serious about their work and services.

My little sister came here for a silk press for her birthday. She told me that the stylists that worked on her hair were very gentle and friendly. She felt so relaxed during the washing. The final result was stunning and she gets compliments everywhere we go. We will be coming back for sure! Happy customer!

The stylist was obviously an amateur and stuck glue directly on my edges. The lace lifted after 2 hours and she refused to curl or style my hair because it was “too long” for her. Absolutely horrible experience for $140. DO NOT GO HERE

I didn't get anything done at her shop. What i liked about her was her honesty when i came to speak with her about my hair. She gave me expert advice and as a result my hair is looking better and I'm feeling great.

Lydia is amazing, very professional and she knows her stuff. Loved my hair, it was mi first time and I felt welcomed. This is my go to hair saloon now. Be ware that weekends are really busy so if you want quicker service call before and go on a weekday.

I ended up paying $158 for my retwist and styling. The lady’s were nice but that price was ridiculous. They said because I have a lot of hair it would be $120 +35 for styling. My appointment was for 3pm they had to rush my hair around 6:30pm because their boss mentioned they needed to close by that time. I assumed they were open till 7:00 The hair was okay but definitely it worth $158!

I don’t want to be mean but I wish I had seen a review like this before going, so here I am:They tried their best but I am very disappointed. Will never go back.I have very long natural hair (it arrives to my lower back) and I have type 4b-4c hair.I came for a silk press but the hair came out flat, oily and with no volume. See in the pictures a comparison of a silk press I got last year at another Salon in Montreal (first picture) and the one I got at Lydia’s salon (second picture). The difference is blatant.I think that they shouldn’t put oil before pressing the hair otherwise it looks oily and flat like the second picture. If they want to put some oil to make the hair shine, they should do it after having pressed the hair, not before. That’s what was done to me last year at the Montreal salon (little bit of oil only after the hair has been straightened, and the result as you can see is way better). The other major drawback for me was the detangling process. It was a big NO NO.This point will mostly be understood by people who are used to take care of their natural hair themselves and really CARE about the detangling process.Detangling type 4 hair should be done using a product that has a lot of slip to avoid breakage, but at Lydia’s they mostly use rose water to “help” detangling. This is absolutely not enough and they broke a lot of my hair, which makes me absolutely mad.Plus, gentleness is a must when detangling type 4 hair to avoid breakage. They were not. They were too tough on my hair, on top of only using rose water, they were pulling when they were encountering knots instead of unraveling. This caused so many breakage which adds to my disappointment.I assume that they just wanted to go fast so they didn’t have the time to be patient enough to minimize breakage.I will state one good point though: at least they detangle in sections.
